Lids Required for Trash Cans
The Town of Centreville has received complaints regarding the smell of garbage trucks due to the water being released from the truck during transport. Chesapeake Waste has taken measures to seal their trucks to help remedy this issue however, has asked that citizens ensure lids are properly placed on all garbage cans. This will reduce the amount of water emptied into the trucks and help eliminate additional water being released from the trucks during transport causing the unpleasant smells.
Any concerns regarding trash and recycle such as missed trash or recycle pick-ups should be directed to Chesapeake Waste by calling 410-742-0099. If your issue is not resolved or you have any other questions, as always, please feel free to call Town Hall at 410-758-1180.
