Curbside Recycling Program

December 25, 2006.  Centreville, MD.  In the spirit of holiday giving, the Town of Centreville is giving residents the opportunity to enroll in a free curbside recycling program.  This service is provided by the Town through Infinity Recycling.  To enroll for this free program or for more information, contact Infinity Recycling directly at (410) 778-5949 or via email to infin11@aol.com.  Upon enrollment, Infinity Recycling will deliver one or more bins and instructions to your residence.  For additional details, please visit the FAQ menu on the left margin of this page.  Why not enroll today? 

Town Holiday Events

December 1, 2006.  Centreville, MD.  The Town of Centreville hosted several family friendly events to help make the holidays more festive!  On Friday, December 1, 2006, the Town Council held the ceremonial lighting of the holiday tree on the Courthouse Square.  This event immediately followed the 5PM installation ceremony for the Queen Anne's County Tricentennial Time Capsule.  Thereafter, the Town of Centreville Parade began at Queen Anne's County High School shortly after 6:30 PM and proceeded through Town via Kidwell Avenue, Commerce Street, Broadway, and Chesterfield.  Although there was concern about possible rain and wind, the weather cooperated and the parade was reportedly the best-attended ever...

On Saturday, December 2, 2006, the Town History Tour provided interpretive information about more than 30 local properties of historical interest.  There was also a prime opportunity to patronize Centreville businesses during the "Heck with the Malls" event sponsored by the Queen Anne's County Arts Council at 206 South Commerce Street. 

Town History DVD for Sale

Summer, 2006.  Centreville, MD.  The Town of Centreville now offers for sale the first in a series of DVDs documenting the history of the Town dating back to 1794 and beyond.  The "History of Centreville - The Overview" is available at Town Hall for $20 per copy.  Future DVDs will be available in December covering subjects such as businesses, churches, education, and homes & families.  Pick yours up today and buy a few extras as gifts!

National Night Out

August 1, 2006.  Centreville, MD.  Thank you to the many participants and sponsors who joined the Centreville Police Department for National Night Out, taking a community-friendly stand gainst crime and supporting your local law enforcement professionals.  Thanks also to the Centreville Police, Public Works, and Administrative employees, the Town Council, and the many volunteers who helped make this event a success.  Thanks especially to Corporal Kim Conley, the lead organizer and the CPD Community Outreach Coordinator. 

Town Budget for FY 2007 Approved

June 22, 2006. Centreville, MD. The Town Council of the Town of Centreville unanimously approved Ordinance 04-2006 enacting the FY 2007 Budget and establishing a real property tax rate of $0.47.  The ordinance reduced the real property tax rate by 2%.  Copies of the approved budget are available in the foyer at Town Hall and are linked from the main page of this web site as Latest Updates.
