Centreville's Maryland makers event returns for its ninth year! Hosted by the Town of Centreville and the Maryland Wineries Association, the free event offers guests an opportunity to meet over 40 Maryland makers and experience some of the state’s finest craft beverages, artisan crafts, festival food, and live music with laid-back Eastern Shore hospitality.
At a Glance
Our Maryland makers event has a proven track record of drawing 1,200 to 1,500 attendees from seven different states in addition to Maryland and Washington, DC. Although the event was designed to attract visitors, it’s also quite popular with area locals. The event is free, but attendees age 21+ with proper ID can purchase tasting passes to taste or buy wine, beer, or distilled drinks by the glass or to purchase a bottle to take home. About 2/3 of our attendees attend the event for free and enjoy the live entertainment, delicious food, and diverse selection of artisan merchandise.
Stay tuned for tasting pass sales dates and announcements about this year's performers, and of course, news on this year's VIP experience.

History
A group of about 24 volunteers gathered in 2016 to create a new signature event to attract visitors to Centreville to follow up on a recommendation from the 2014 Main Street Market Study. After discussing several different event themes and formats, the group rallied around the idea of hosting a Maryland Makers festival, celebrating Maryland’s artisans and producers.
The event concept came to fruition in 2017 when the Centreville Main Street manager the Maryland Wineries Association (MWA) to partner with us. MWA was already producing a branded event called DrinkMaryland in North Beach. Since then each June on the day before Father’s Day, the Town of Centreville under the leadership of the Main Street program and MWA come together to produce DrinkMaryland: Centreville - A Maryland Makers Event with a shared commitment to celebrating Maryland’s craft beverage makers, artisans, and entertainers.
